Suncrest Middle School is a secondary academic school in Morgantown, West Virginia which is currently the highest-rated middle school in the state of West Virginia.[1]. Suncrest Flatts Jr. High, as it was previously called until 1998 with the inclusion of 9th grade into Morgantown High School, currently houses 6th- through 8th-grade classrooms. The school mascot is the seal and has the school colors of blue and white, which are donned upon many student-athletes that compete in Football, Boy's and Girl's Basketball, Cheerleading, Softball, Boy's and Girl's Cross Country, and Boy's and Girl's Track. The principal is Mr. Jim Napolillo and the vice principal is currently Mrs. Christy Lynch-Burkhart, the school-wide counselor is Dr. Lynch.
